Welcome to Greece

Sept 6, 2022

Hello from Greece! I arrived and have settled nicely, fighting jetlag and fatigue by walking nonstop. It’s a 7 hour time difference, and my go go go pace has left me exhausted yet unable to stop. I’m currently back in Athens after a few days touring parts of continental Greece and the Peloponnese. I haven’t wanted to spend time writing or reflecting so far, though I have been taking notes to preserve memories for when I do feel inspired. I have had some powerful experiences, rooted in how OLD everything is – a lot of stuff I’ve seen is dated 3,000+ years. Seeing the famous Acropolis and Parthenon, ancient Olympia where the first games were held, the mountainous home of the oracles at Delphi, and the ancient Agora where politics and the arts got their start in the modern world – it has all been powerful and just cool. There are ruins everywhere. And amazing food, as expected. I’m taking a long afternoon break at the moment, but I’ll wrap for now, and will return when I feel so inspired!
